Anonymous Chat Using a Nickname
Want a conversation without introducing yourself by your full name? On WAB2, you can use non-identifying profile labels and start a text chat with another member. An account is required. Your email address is not displayed on your member profile.
This is nickname-based, or pseudonymous, chat: other people need not know your offline identity, but WAB2 still holds account, message and technical records. Both the Name and Nickname labels can appear on your profile, so choose each with care.
Create an Account With a Nickname
Registration is free and the community is for adults. You choose whom to message; the other member's contact settings and willingness to reply still apply.
Privacy at a glance
Use non-identifying public profile labels, keep personal details out of your profile and messages, and remember that WAB2 still processes account and security data. Your email is not shown to other members.

Location, languages and ages are member-provided, not verified. A recorded visit is not a promise of availability or a reply.
Choose Both Profile Labels Carefully
The email registration form asks for a Name, Nickname, email address and password. Name is a profile label rather than a request to publish a legally verified identity. Use non-identifying labels in both fields if you want to keep your full name private, and never impersonate another person.
For example, a label based on a hobby can start a conversation without revealing your surname or employer. Avoid a nickname you already use on a searchable public account if you do not want those identities connected.
In your introduction, write about a few interests rather than your exact address, workplace, daily route or telephone number. “I enjoy baking and old films” gives someone a reason to write without providing a trail to your offline life.
What Other Members Can See
Signed-in members can read the details displayed on your profile. These include your profile labels, member ID, registration date and activity information, plus details you supply such as languages, an introduction, location or photos. The profile also shows email-verification status, but not your email address.
A nickname does not hide identifying details elsewhere. Before uploading a photo, check for addresses, badges, reflections or other clues. Review what you have written before sending it: a recipient can copy text or save material you share.

What WAB2 Stores
Using a nickname does not make the service data-free. WAB2 processes account and profile information, password hashes, messages, contacts, reports and technical records such as IP address, device information and logs. These support account access, message delivery and service operation. The Privacy Policy explains how information is used and retained.
The in-site Delete account action deactivates the account: it hides the profile and disables chat actions, while keeping data so access can be restored. To request permanent erasure or ask a privacy question, use Contact. Retention exceptions are described in the Privacy Policy.
End Contact or Limit New Messages
Use Ignore on a member's profile to prevent messages between your accounts. Report harassment, threats, deception or other rule-breaking behavior from the profile. You can stop a conversation without sharing a reason or moving to another app.
Protection settings can also limit new messages, including restricting them to your contacts. These preferences affect whom you can contact as well as who can contact you. If sending is unavailable, read the reason shown on screen rather than repeatedly trying to reach the person.
Never send passwords, account codes, financial information, identity documents or money to someone you know only through chat. The chat safety guide covers more precautions for meeting people online.
Start With a Small Amount of Information
You do not have to trade personal details to keep a conversation going. Ask about an interest in the person's introduction, share a general opinion or talk about a film. Watch whether the person respects your decision to keep an address, photo or phone number private.
Text chat does not require a camera or microphone. If written conversation is your main preference, see text chat with strangers. For the free features and optional paid extras, see free online chat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is WAB2 completely anonymous?
No. You can use non-identifying profile labels, but an account is required and WAB2 stores account, message and technical information. Other signed-in members can read the details you display on your profile.
Do other members see my email address?
Your member profile does not display your email address. It does display whether the account's email is verified.
Can I use a nickname instead of my legal name?
Yes. The Name and Nickname fields are profile labels, and both can appear on your member profile. Choose non-identifying labels for both if you want to keep your legal name private, and do not impersonate anyone.
Can I stop someone from contacting me?
Yes. Adding someone to Ignore prevents messages between your accounts. You can also limit new messages in Protection settings and report rule-breaking behavior from a member's profile.
