Choose Australia Before Narrowing the Search
After signing in, open Search, then Filter. Under Where to search, choose Australia and select All of Australia to begin broadly. The available regional choices include New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. A regional selection is a profile-field filter, not a distance search around your address.
Choose a communication language you can write in and, if conversation is your purpose, For Chatting. A profile's selected country and language are self-reported; they do not establish nationality, current whereabouts or fluency. Members can have different aims even when their search fields match.
The country summary on this page uses profiles with Australia selected and English listed. It is not a count of people waiting for a message. Full search after registration lets you choose other available communication languages too.
If Your State or Preferred Time Has Few Results
Start by widening a region to the whole country or changing Online only to All users if you are happy to leave a message for later. Keep the language that matters to you rather than adding unrelated people simply to fill a list. Matching profiles may still be unavailable.
Do not assume “tonight” means the same convenient moment for another member. If you want to catch up at a particular time, agree on the time and time zone explicitly. Otherwise, write a message that can be answered later; an activity label describes a visit, not readiness to talk.

Begin With the Person, Not Just the Country
Choose something the member actually mentions. If an introduction describes getting back into walking, ask what they enjoy about it and offer a little about your own routine. You do not need their exact suburb, workplace or daily route to have an interesting exchange.

Want an Australian Group Conversation?
A group room is useful when several members want one place for a shared hobby or regular catch-up. Create a named room and share its six-digit key with intended participants, or ask the person who invited you for the current key. Each participant needs an account.
