Chat for Conversation

Talk to Strangers Online, One Conversation at a Time

Want to talk to someone outside your usual circle? WAB2 is a chat community for adults where you choose a profile and start a written conversation. Read what someone has shared, find a detail that interests you, and send a friendly first message.

You do not need to swipe or wait for a mutual match. Create a free account to browse members and use direct messaging. Each member controls who can contact them, and replies depend on whether they want to talk.

How to Start a Conversation on WAB2

  1. Create an account and add a short introduction. A couple of genuine interests gives someone a reason to reply.
  2. Browse members and open a profile that interests you. Read the introduction and activity information before deciding whom to contact.
  3. Send one short message about something the person shared. Continue if you both enjoy the exchange.

An active status is a useful starting point, not a promise that someone is waiting for your message. Contact settings and limits on new conversations can also affect whom you can write to. If a message is unavailable, respect the restriction rather than trying to get around it.

What to Say to Someone You Have Never Met

The easiest opening gives the other person one thing to answer. Choose a question you are interested in yourself:

After a reply, share a little of your own answer instead of sending question after question. For example, “I usually make soup when I want an easy dinner. What is your choice?” gives the conversation somewhere to go.

Keep personal contact details and requests to meet out of the opening. If no reply comes, leave the message there and give the person space.

Choose a Person Rather Than a Random Pairing

WAB2 lets you decide whose profile to open and whom to approach. It does not automatically connect you to a stranger or require two people to like each other first. If that distinction matters to you, the random chat alternative page explains the profile-choice approach in more detail.

The conversation itself uses written messages. You can learn more about text chat without a camera if communicating in writing is your main priority.

A Brief Exchange or a New Friendship

You do not have to decide where a conversation will lead before it starts. A few messages about music or an ordinary day can be worthwhile on their own. If you both want to keep talking, you can return to the conversation later.

Read a person's stated intentions instead of assuming that friendliness means romantic interest. If your aim is a continuing connection, see making friends online through conversation. For a conversation across countries, explore international chat.

Keep Personal Information Under Your Control

You can use a nickname while getting to know someone; the anonymous chat guide explains what that does and does not hide. Treat what you read in a profile as information supplied by a member, not proof of their identity.

Keep passwords, account codes, financial details and your exact address private. Never send money to someone you know only online. If a person threatens, harasses or pressures you, stop responding and use the ignore and report controls. The stranger-chat safety checklist explains what to watch for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to talk to strangers on WAB2?

Yes. Create a free account before browsing member profiles and sending direct messages. WAB2 is a community with accounts, not a guest chat you can enter without registration.

Do I have to wait for a mutual match?

No mutual like is required. You choose a profile and send a direct message where contact settings and account limits allow it. The recipient decides whether and when to reply.

Is this random stranger chat?

No. WAB2 does not pair you automatically with a random person. You browse profiles and decide whom you want to contact.

Is it free to start?

Yes. Registration, a basic profile, member search and core text messaging are free. Optional Premium and credit-based features are separate from those core functions.
